Quick Draw

It really does pay to have your camera in your hand even when you're not intending to photograph anything in particular. I was on my way to a photoshoot, carrying my usual backpack laden with all my gear. Strolling down Brick Lane to meet my client, I thought perhaps it'd be worth taking my camera out my bag to quick check my settings before the shoot. (I've been in situations where I've forgotten to switch over to shooting RAW or left my ISO settings too high).

However, the very act of carrying my camera in hand unleashed my inner street photographer. I couldn't help but fire off a few frames. I typically shoot street in monochrome - I kinda like the aesthetic more than colour.

Here is what I ended up with. Please pleased with this. Just goes to show ... keep your camera close and capture those opportunistic moments.
